GRANDMA KNAPP’S 24-HOUR SALAD
Ingredients:
- 1 large can fruit cocktail
- 1 large can pineapple chunks
- 1 lb. red grapes
- 1 small jar of maraschino cherries
- 1 lb. marshmallows – little more than ½ bag
- 1 pint whipping cream
- Lemon juice
- 2 eggs
Drain juice from fruit cocktail. Drain juice from pineapple chunks, but save the juice. Stir all fruit together in a large bowl.
In a saucepan combine:
- pineapple juice
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 beaten eggs
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 pinch of salt
- 6 tbsp lemon juice
- Cook in a saucepan until thick—then cool.
Whip 1 pint whipping cream and fold into sauce lightly.
Then mix in fruit and marshmallows, folding lightly
Chill in refrigerator overnight.

SOPHIE’S CAESAR SALAD DRESSING
1 clove garlic
1/2 c. oil
1 beaten egg
1/4 c. lemon juice
1 t. Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 t. pepper
1/2 t. salt
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
Mash garlic, add to oil. Let set. Mix rest of ingredients and add oil. Shake well, remove garlic.
